Maya Thalia Bishop
NYC Based Theatre Performer
Headshot By Bjorn Bolinder

About Me

I'm Maya Thalia Bishop, a NYC based performer. I use they/them/theirs pronouns. Originally from Los Angeles, I moved 3,000 miles to New York City and attended The Institute for American Musical Theatre. Most recently, you could see me as a Swing in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at Stages St. Louis!
I grew up an avid ballerina and modern dancer. I fell in love with musicals watching DVDs of The Sound Of Music and Annie. I went to Los Angeles County High School for the Arts for Dance. My junior year, I auditioned for Beauty and the Beast. I was cast in the ensemble as a wolf, dancing napkin, and male villager. On that opening night, I fell in love with musicals in a brand new way. When I'm not in class or performing, you can find me cooking for my friends, crocheting, babysitting, and reading!
